Fished the Magnolia River Saturday afternoon on the incoming tide. Fisherman's Discount didn't have any live shrimp, so we went with whole dead, crank baits, and GULPs. Tried all the usual spots, no signs of specks anywhere; the water was still a little muddy, but not too bad. Hit pilings, stumps, downed trees, etc... Not a bite. The bass and reds did not want to eat anything we had, but it was a beautiful January day on the water, can't complain about that.
