Thinking about checking out lake Seminole. If I'm in a small Jonboat with just a trolling motor, where should I go and what should I target? Coming from DeFuniak.

Go to Sneads, and you have 3 choices. 3 rivers park, Howells landing, or go up 271 a couple miles from sneads to "Florida ramp" just before Rock Pond rd. I would go to the later, more access to back water than the "main lake" which can get sporty in a little jon boat if the wind picks up or the bass boats do. I dont fish for bass or crappie so i cant recommend advice on that(but they are there) but there is plenty of bluegill, shellcracker, and cats there.

May be some in the Apalachee Management Area (straight west of the ramp) but i have never seen any in there. You talking about pitching a tent or a camper? I wouldn't be scared to set up "camp" for a day or two right there at that ramp (there is plenty of open ground in there)-just dont leave anything out to be easily stolen, and there is no power there-just some solar lights around the ramp. Straight east across the river is Trails End marina(GA side) that has primitive and rv hookups. All in all--if you are wanting to camp on FL side--go to 3 rivers state park and get a spot at the Lakeside Drive campground. Has a dock to tie your boat off to and a small ramp

Saturday, we checked out 3 Rivers State Park. There are quite a few spots that my buddies Schooly RV will fit easily. Fees are around $30/night with everything included. 1 night is a little more, like $33 due to the reservations fees. Book months ahead.
Launched at "Florida Ramp" and worked our way out to the secondary channel. Caught ~15 Pickerel on spinnerbaits, 1 decent bass also on spinnerbait, 3 small bass on drop-shot, 1 tiny bass and a decent sized Crappie on a crappie jig and a Bowfin almost as big as my arm on Spinnerbait.
Relaunched at Howell after a tourney held there had wrapped up. They left 3 dead bass at/near the ramp. Caught another 2 Pickerel on spinnerbaits, a Needle fish/Gar almost to the boat on a Fluke and a LDR on a 1.5# bass on Drop-shot.
Nothing on jigs, cranks, chatterbaits, plastic worms,...all day.
