Catfish Palooza

Fished a sandbar near Tom's Bayou that usually produces some good reds and a fair amount of trout, but I couldn't tell you if they were there this week. 15 catfish caught in an hour, on pinfish, shrimp, croakers, and gulp shrimp under a popper. I think it's about time for a catfish tournament!

I hope this doesn't sound like I'm happy.

My first two fish of today were catfish then one rat red and one trout that shook the hook before I got it to me. Disappointed but still nice to be in the water.

Doesn't take but a couple of those annoying bastards and I'm looking for greener pastures. One of those caused me a great deal of pain and suffering last June.

Yeah I try to be very careful unhooking them but I know one of these days...pow...right in the hand. Should just cut the line and re-rig.

I got one clear through my foot that I had to have surgically removed once, and let me tell you that aint fun.
