On a serious note though, a properly tuned whisker biscuit only slows arrow speed 2-6 feet per second.

How many fletchings do you have to tear off before you get miffed enough to throw it in the garbage and get a real rest?

I was told the other day when using a whisker biscuit you do not want an arrow fletchings passing through the black whiskers on the bottom of the rest because they are more rigid and the fletchings do not pass through them as easily and can also mess up the flight of your arrow. Is this true? I have been shooting the biscuit for several years now and have never paid attention where my third odd fletching rested and have not had an issue with it. Anyone else ever heard of this or have a comment on it?
