I know this is probably a shot in the dark but...

Im looking for a fiberglass front deck for a carolina skiff type boat..mine is 19ft long and around 67" across at the front.

I have a custom build wood one up front thats carpeted but i would like to loose some weight off the front.

How much do you think it weighs? How much weight do you want to loose? What is the thickness of the plywood?

Make a new one using 1/4" or 3/8" marine ply as the core encapsulated with glass. Shouldn't be hard to make one lighter than heavy, solid wood construction.

its 2 1/2 in sheets of sealed mahagony plywood, framed with 2 1/4 wide 4" tall rough cut mahogany lumber

so it has a little weight to it
