Looking for a set of boards with bags in good shape. I can repaint them if necessary so long there is no major damage. I would prefer the home made type versus the Walmart type. Please let me know what you have or perhaps someone here makes them. My neighbor got me hooked and I need the practice so I can put the hurt on him next time. Plus its a good game to play when company is over versus the horse shoes.

I made my own set and ordered the bags off of Amazon. Took less than an hour to make the boards and then you can paint them any way that you like.

What size board did you use? I could make my own I suppose, just need to get the measurements right. I don't think it would cost more to make them than buy them unless someone has a set collecting dust. Either way, let me know what you all have.

What is the quality of the ones at Academy? I want a sturdy set, not made out of paper mâché and massed produced. Really looking into making them myself.

I got the one from Academy and the quality is poor, my four year old stepped on it once and it broke.

Thanks Fat Rat. I am keeping my options open. I saw a set online that has the base mitered and looks real nice. Pretty much that is my main item I am looking for and perhaps routed edges.

I've built a few sets and it will run you around $50 in material if you build them yourself. You can order bags from ebay.

What do you mean exactly by mitered? This man I am talking about has built around 40 sets.
