I don't know what you are using it for but, I would recommend Crossman .177 Pump Pistol I have one and it is great for small game.

I have a gamo whisper cat from academy that will knock a squirrel out of the top of a pine tree with one pump. I think they are about $129 and you break the barrel once and its ready to go.

I use a B3 pellet gun($60) with an old weaver k3 style scope. It works great. And i dont care if i break it. Took a possum with it last year.
