Winter is coming and fish are comin and goin. So what I'm wandering is what fish I'll need to start targeting and what bait I should should switch to and what fish I should stop targeting. I do know whiting is a good year round fish. So thanks in advance

depends on where you are fishing. flounder will start moving in another 6 weeks or so, great fall fish, especially in the passes and channels heading out to the gulf as well as drift fishing right offshore in those channels. live shrimp always the best for me, but also gulp baits work well if you can get to the bottom in the current. watch the water temps, you need to get back below 80 before things will turn on. Specs will be all over the bayous and flats again as the temps get into the mid-upper 70's
