So story started Sunday am she had climbed the edge of a bottom and some open pines they burned last spring to watch both areas. At about 945 she started lowering her gun to climb down, and while her gun is about halfway down back in the bottom she hears some something and here comes a nice 8 and 7 running each other around all around her!

She pulls the gun up and can not get any of these bucks to stop, shes whistling, grunting, yelling . The 7 stops and she has a back of the neck shot available but she is standing, no rest and is not comfortable with the shot and they continue out of sight.

Monday am she climbs same tree and 730am here comes a doe with the same 7 in tow, grunts, stops him and once again is having to free hand the shot. Pulls the trigger and nothing! He barley flinches starts to walk on, puts the crosshairs on the shoulder again pulls the trigger and he drops ! So when Im skinning him I said you sure you missed? cause you sure enough hit him twice! Crazy how they take a shot. Also when she was walking up to get him the big 8 came running in 30 yds from her thinking she was him cause he was stinkin.

Going to go ahead and brag on my wife ! Anybody can sit somebody on a plot or a stand but it's whole different accomplishment to go pick an area climb a tree and be successful ! Rut is on! This was McKenzie/Red level, south of Georgiana area. Any recommendations on skull mounts?
