We got Miss Dixie back and out on the water today. Looking for reds but couldn't get passed the white trout. it was so much fun catching these critters. Floated in the bay and used ANYTHING on a hook...caught over 200 of them in just a couple of hours. only kept those 14-18 inches and had 2 buckets full of thick , big white trout; plenty for upcoming fish fries and friends at work - also supper tonight. Began with live bait, switched to Gulp! Tried about 6 different kinds and caught on all. even put on a piece of blue plastic and there was bites too!!!Even some UGGGGGLY bubblegum plastics that Mitch has been threating to throw away for months caughtgreat fish. What an afternoon. What a day to get Miss Dixie back into action.:clap

Did you just pull up in the middle of the Bay and put bait to the bottom or did you go to a secret spot. Not asking where. Thanks.....AJ

We were leaving GC Bridge heading for Three-Mile in hopes of some reds and to watch the Blues. On the South side of the bay, maybe a quarter mile out from shore, there is a ledge that drops from 12 to 19 ft. real quick. We were maybe two miles east of 3 mile bridge (over that ledge) when we spotted the bait pod and decided to cast something into it. Lane rigged a pinfish and had 3 nice (over 16") whites on before I ever even got a hook into the water. From there we just drifted and hooked up almost every cast regardless of what we used. The drift was really slow, no wind, and we kinda drifted back and forth over that ledge.Nothing to brag about, but then there isnothing better thanANY fishon light takle, especially after being dry docked for a while. Great fun, and Good Eats!.

See ya out there.
