Was fishing in a boat, with my two kidsunder the middle of thebridge last year, when a civilian Navy base Policeman hung his head over the side of the bridge and said I had to stay 500 feet from the bridge. He had to stop his car in traffic and get out to do this. Im not sure whats legal anymore. Good luck.

Since that time, I have fished twice, without them saying anything, and will continue to do so. If I were you, Id fish until they say something. They are nice about it and for the most part they dont care if you do. I have been fishing around that bridge since 1960 and that was the only time.

Back in the day, we would drop live Pig fish around the pilings and fool some of the Gator Trout hibernating for the winter.

Yea, but 1960 was before the towel heads forced inconvenient safety measures upon us citizens post 9/11. And their actions continue to take away our freedoms.

Now everyone and everything is suspect.

Like people in a boat that appear to be fishing, under a bridge that leads into the main gate of a Navy installation.
