Really good video and informative. But I cannot find that Chum and Get It food stuff you're using. The stuff (chum-N-get-it) on FB doesn't look the same as what you have. Yours looks to be hard dried and theirs is wet and soft.

Could you Message me (PM) and send a picture of the Chum and Get It bag, and maybe the feed store's name?
I'd like to find out their supplier and see if they can drop ship me a couple bags of it here.
But hopefully, I can find it near-by.

We used to mullet fish at the oyster pile landing (the yacht and racquetball club) there in Bagdad. We never tried the gold hooks, we used wigglers, red worms, dough, yellow corn and sliced white grub.
Kinda wondering if that gold hook and yellow corn, being the color, maybe triggers some food source they like, like your idea of the shrimp?

I guess the world may never know? lol

Chum-n-getit is made by Harrell Milling Co. in Hartford, Al. You might give them a call to find out their distribution area. We get it here in DeFuniak at ACE and a local bait shop. Possibly ACE in Crestview may have it. Also, we use Cowboy Range Pellets made by FRM. The pellets are large, about thumb size. FRM has a wider distribution than Harrell Milling. Both of
these will sink.

There are many methods and baits that work, but my attitude is why fiddle with all sorts of baits when a simple gold hook works just fine. But every fisherman on the water is always testing and looking for the best bait. It's all in the quest for the best ....LOL I remember one time a boat next to me was using big okra seed on a bream hook and they worked

Thanks, I found it (googling) on FB. They got the address and phone number on the package. I appreciate the info.

I was thinking you were fishing straight down, but it looked like you were fishing (the line) in an angle?
Just tossed it out, let it hit bottom, then just tighten the line.
At the old dog farm in Milton, we'd fish straight down from however long your pole was. Some too, used corks, so it didn't matter.
Fine video tho. Keep em coming.

Actually fish both ways. Depends on water conditions and depth.

Cost here is about $16.50 to $18.00, depends on where you shop. Don't forget to check out Cowboy Range Pellets. They are thumb size and last longer. I use both .
