Got up Wed. thinking we were going out in 1 ft seas and the wx bouy went fro 1 to 2.6 to 3.9 in 2 hours. Forecast still at 1 ft (knew better) but was in friends boat and he wanted to go. I suggested Pensacola since that was closer to where we wanted to go. If in my boat, I would have turned back at 1st sea bouy!! We inched our way out to a public spot and put down in a rockin and rollin boat. Well cant complain on the catch: 3 cobia (27, 24 and 20 lbs (what are they doing on the bottom?), red snapper ( lot of small ones and only 4 keeper), mangrove snapper, small vermillion ( you can guess at how small since none were keepers), king mackerael, a black tip shark and one other non identified probable shark (oners son fought both for about 40 minutes), bonita, and the usual assortment of ramoras(lol). Not bad for a crappy wind/sea day but we missed out on our proposed off shore trip.
