Well I personally do not watch hunting shows these days as they nothing more that look at me and my sponsors so they bring nothing to the table. I grew up watching Curt Gowdy and The American Sportsman, now that was a show and there will never be another like it.
As for Under Armor, it looks to me like they do not support hunting only the PC version of hunting, if it was fair chase and legally harvested then UA should have supported the industry, I guess UA undies do bunch up.

Here are some of the stories. Notice the way certain media outlets describe the hunters putting them in more of a negative light and it is obvious their bias. It will be interesting to watch as the hunting community now takes a stand to see what UA does.

Why I do not support Under Armour.... First there is way better quality out there but I won't support a sporting company that switches to hunting or fishing gear just to earn a profit. First they supported Wounded Warrior project which for the longest time was a company for profit and now they do this to one of their staff members...

I will only support companies that come into the industry for hunting/fishing reasons or have been around for a long time in the industry like:
Realtree, Mossy Oak, ASAT, Kings Camo, Irish Setter, etc etc.

I understand everyone's opinion about Under Armour. However, I have first had experience with that method or use of those "spears" in Canada. I'm a lifelong hunter but using those thing are a special kind of cruelty.

Sorry typing on my phone and sent it before I was ready. Some of those spears are like shoving a shovel into the bear.

This is the method I'm familiar with.

Oh I agree. And I don't think the public was ready to see something so brutal. And that's what it is. It primitive, it no a compound bow, it's not a recurve it's a man throwing a sharp stick. People are not used to having that. There used to going to Walmart for chicken or steak. Not a primitive kill.

But some of the hunting community doesn't get that. Underarmour is a sporting goods. Not 100% hunting company.

That's just my thought.

Only thing I see wrong with the hunt is that they had a rifle when they went to recover the bear. If you are confident enough that the spear will be a humane kill, you should be confident enough to fully dispatch the bear with the spear if needed.

What if they happen to surprise another bear while they're slipping through there? Other predators? And if the bear was only wounded, he could be extremely dangerous. Plus it would a lot more "humane" to finish him with a rifle than chucking another spear.

The spear this guy used and his placement killed that bear a lot quicker than any arrow would have. That said, I'm 100% taking a rifle with me for the recovery.
