Our club doesn't allow any hunting on our plots till gun season. They were both taken in the woods. Don't know many details. I basically helped unload, weigh (both 130#) took their pic, shook their hands and came home. The nine point will easily gross 110. I had a nice six walk by at dark. We are seven pt or better. We had six hunters this morning and no kills. Nine hunters this afternoon. Also the guy shot the nine and he just kept walking (lower wound) guy thought he missed and made longer shot right in the shoulder.

Kevin, when/who made the rule that you can't bow hunt plots? That's the best time to thin the does up there without spooking horns.
Not me! Not a bad rule, some of our guys are older and don't bow hunt so it gives them something to look forward to. We are at a 2-1 ratio so the days of 75-100 does per season are over. I hate this rule during bow season, but love it Thanksgiving weekend!

Thats my point. Opening day is great for killing BUCKS when they havent had any pressure. You should try it before you make opinions.
I was in this club and did try it, you? I have been in several clubs and it seems to me that more bucks are killed on plots when people aren't shooting does with rifles. I would rather not shoot does on plots at all instead of just not bow hunting them.
