On a Alum hull....You for sure want slicks....I can't tell you how many alum Pontoon boats I use to see Doug & Joe welding up the hulls when they worked @ Blue Coral. The wet and Salt just sit in contact with the alum. and corrode it.Then the carpet can't really dry for days or so because the wood is still wet. Which doesn't help aluminum hulls.
Where ya gonna plug it in when the boat is off at the ramp?Wonder if you could take a heat gun and just melt the wax on the carpet.
