If i see some BFT out at 30 miles or so, what type of lures do you toss to them if they are top water feeding?

Mid sized poppers, Yo Zuri Crystal Minnows and shad/cocahoe style soft plastic tails work very well. If they are feeding on very small baits, a small, white, pompano-style jig under a bubble float will get it done.

How about a crystal shrimp?

anything you can get to them. gotchas, and small lures like that that have a little weight so you can reach the fish....

Small diamond jigs like 2-4 oz work great. Just cast it and jig it quick. Like Chris said a pompano jig works well also.

If You use a Got-cha, make sure the drag isn't too tight. The thin wire hooks they put on them will straighten out and its very annoying!

My favorite is definitely a smaller Crystal Minnow with the trebles removed with short-shank J-hooks replacing them.

I caught one of mine on a three oz pink sea striker jig. I imagine that like bonita and some women Ive met, size is more important then color or style.

I don't know why, but black fin love pinfish. We throw pin fish at blackfins when we are anchored and chumming. The kings are not that crazy about pinfish and we can use mono leaders.
