When is it to late to plant food plots in the Greenville, Alabama area? We might not be able to get up to our land this weekend and I am concerned that it might be to late if we wait any longer. So when do y'all think its to late? Thanks.

plots

You should be more than ok. If we don't plan to do much bow hunting, we wait to later in October some years.

December first is not TOO late, at least as far as the growth of your plots.

LOTS of people plant Labor Day Weekend (WAY too early), and then either get a nice big helping of Army Worms or by the time gun season comes in the plot has gotten tall and the plants are toughter and not as palatable as when theyre younger.

We're planting ours in Evergreen next week sometime, but no-one in our club bow hunts.

Agreed,... end of October is fine. We used to wait till after bow season started before planting. Good luck
