Well the old Lowrance has been acting up so i decided to get a new network chartplotter. I chose the Garmin 5212 touch screen. It looks cool!! I can't wait to try her out!!

yepper, i have a hard enought time keeping my "nontouchable" screen clean.edited could have derailed scotts thread.

I've been using the 5212 for about a year. Picked up a couple for next to nothing when Best Buy cleared all of their marine electronics. Great machine and have had no problems with the touchscreen.

We are running a 5212 and a 5012. They're great machines. Unless you're eating a pb&j sandwich and then touching the screen, we don't have any problems with the touchscreen getting all funky.
