I will post tomorrow more about it BECAUSE I want to make sure I have a clear mind. JUst to give you a little insite I think it is like the HOUSE OF CONGRESS.

Well, I'm an AMERICAN and I will tell my view tomorrow, AGAIN I WANT TO BE SURE, BUT I ALREADY KNOW MY FEELINGS ABOUT IT.

At this moment I have a few words for folks so that is why I'm waiting till tomorrow. If I said it tonight I would still mean it tomorrow but that would give folks something to shoot at me with.

Hope you enjoy the fun because it should be a HOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will not sit by and watch this forum die from WHAT IT WAS........... They rest of you can KISS MY WHITE ASS...........

like i told chris tonight "i like the new look". I just don't like the bullshit that goes on here. I've met a lot of great people on this forum over the past several years (and several have called me during the past few weeks to see where i've been), but lately the bad ones have out numbered the good ones. Hence the reason i've taken a leave of absence. I know that chris hates any type of censorship, but with thousands and thousands of members, and less and less time for him to monitor things, its time for some rules and moderators to be put in place. Even then the problem won't stop, but hopefully it'll stop some of it.you'll still have internet tough guys who sit their 300lb lard asses (or 14 year old kids) who have nothing better to do than hidebehind the monitor and talk shit only because you have no idea who they are or where you can find them and its only going to get worse as winter sets in. I honestly believe that half of ya'll don't even fish, you're just here for your daily dose of social interaction. and with that said i'm heading to bed.

I must have missed something. I haven't really noticed the inflammatory posts on the new forum like we were experiencing on the old one before the switch over. This could be due to several factors. Some have become bored, fed up or just moved on and didn't bring their garbage over here. Some chose to turn a new leaf and have left the past in the past. (Good for you) Maybe many have made a conscious effort to temper their remarks. A few folks just missed the boat and haven't figured out where the rest of us went.Either way it seems to be a kinder gentler place so far.I hope the membership continues to grow and the older members continue to trickle back in. Theres an old saying you can't change an organization from the outside. Quit lurking all you addicts and get back in the game.

Now I'm going looking for whatever stirred the pot.:)

i only joined last year. and what a year. i have learned some new things from the old forum. i bought a couple things and sold a couple things. ive met a few of you and enjoyed it. i look forward to meeting more of you guys and talk fishing.

i really dontfavor the format of this new forum because i am a simple person. the old forum was slow as molasses and this new one fixed that. i am getting used to some of the features. and i will eventually come around and start hatin on the old and lovin on the new.

i would like to think of myself as a mature adult, even though i vowed to start again and grow up with my kids. my oldest is 13. so as an adult if i dont like whats on tv, i just change the channel. if i dont like the music on the radio, i change the channel. if i dont like what the local mullet wrapper has to write, i flip the page or put it down. so, if i dont like the crap that shows up on here at times, guess what guys, i dont read.

many seem to forget that we who are living in the us of a have the freedom to or not to get involved. many are insisting on others conforming to his/her ideals. unfortunately this has carried over to a fishing forum.

i agree with david, the new forum doesnt seem to have the old bitter disputes like the old one started getting. but i digress, cobia season hasnt started yet and the old pier v boat will come up again, in good fun i hope. i for one hope to catch my first cobe on a boat, hopefully mine.

I agree with David, and extend thanks to those (I could name a couple) who seemed to like to stir up sh*t, but have come around and now make positive, informative posts! NO forum (especially with so many members) is ever going to be perfect. If you don't like posts about football or whatever, don't read 'em!!!!!

LIGHTEN UP LADIES!

Thanks again Chris!

Hey! I'm one of those lard asses, but I do fish damn it! hahaha

I've met quite a few good guys/gals off this forum. I get lots of helpful info from the folks on here (not just fishing related). It's all good in my book.

I have tried switching between the old and new to try and understand what it is that i like about the old format versus this one.. and mainly it seems on this one the various categories , sub cats etc. just seem a lot bigger and it takes more scrolling around to see things.. i do like the ability tocollapse the categories, but even then i find myself doing a lot of scrolling.. i do not know if chris has any control over the size of the bars etc...
