Heard things are kinda quite around those stations. Not like the oldies when ya got got to show off and uncap the headers and lay a 20ft patch across the asphalt!

And ironically enough those Teslas would gap all those cars and wouldn’t even be close.

I don’t necessarily want to own one, but I would sure love to drive one of those super fast ones. People can laugh all they want but they’re faster than any street legal muscle car ever made.
They are a blast to drive. We have one rented for our next couple vacations. I’ll stick to buying gas vehicles myself though.

Tesla owners have even created their own Rage issues. Ever hear of "charger rage" ? It's coming to a charger near you soon.

Waiting in line at the cheap gas station is fun enough. Just wait until you're on vacation with the wife and kids in Orlando and just need 40 miles of charge in the Tesla to get back to the hotel.

A buddy of mine got transferred to Orlando, he did not know a soul. He had purchased a $85,000 Tesla, and for fun drove Uber on the weekends.
He has some amazing stories in doing so, and had fun every weekend.
It had all the bells and whistles.

The most fun he had was with the "Fart" option.
He could make which ever seat in the car make a fart sound.
So, when a group of three women would get in, he would chose one, and make the seat "Fart" under her butt.
All the other girls would scold her, while he had a hard time not busting out loud.
He always fessed up in the end, which led to some good conversations.

He has now relocated and left Orlando, and sold the Tesla.

I bet guys with horses and buggies made fun of guys with newfangled combustion automobiles for running out of gas. I don't own an EV, but I will one day and look forward to it. Charging station will replace gas station soon enough.

EV are (or can be) Great for local driving, however, pulling a boat, or heavy loads will kill the battery/range. I wouldn't mind having one for Real Estate, seriously. I have done 200 plus miles a day... Only thing is it would have to charge over night to full charge, and the roof would have to be a solar panel to recharge while driving and sitting outside.

Battery technology will catch up eventually. People were still using horses to pull heavy loads when the car was invented.

It doesn't make sense to use an EV for road trips NOW, but it won't be like that forever. They cannot be beat for commuting though

The problem most seem to have when saying they can't be beat is they don't take into account "they" have to buy a fancy car first.

What is this "cannot be beat" you speak of? Really please explain.

If cannot be beat equals money then lots of cars beat the cheapest Tesla in cost over a 5 year loan time span with purchase price, fuel and maintenance cost included. So yes they can be beat for commuting easily.

You ever drive through a trailer park or low income housing area? You see electric Telsa's or gas Kia's? Even a 2022 Chevy truck beats the 5 year Tesla cheapest model in dollar costs.

EV's are plain and simple, wealthy people's car choice (show off toys). Not dollar efficient at all.

This is a government ran site linked for you to compare my comments. Alternative Fuels Data Center: Vehicle Cost Calculator

Here's the small print:
"This graph shows the cumulative cost of ownership by year for each vehicle, including fuel, tires, maintenance, registration, license, insurance, and loan payment. The tool assumes a five-year loan with a 10% down payment. Year one on the graph represents the 10 percent down payment plus the first year's total operating costs. For more information on this graph and other calculations, see the assumptions page."
