Thoughts on using snaps to attach lures, or is there an advantage of tying directly to the line and eliminating snaps and swivels. Seems using snaps would be more efficient when changing lures, instead of retying lures to mono leader.

Would appreciate any input.

i use Tactical Angler Power Clips to attach my lures or tie a loop knot and attach them that way. Presentation is more natural IMO with a loop knot and the TA power clips are just awesome. I find snap swivels get tangled with my trebel hooks on my lures.

I NEVER use snaps with lures, unless I'm throwing spoons. Lures look way better & don't get tangled as much when tied directly to your leader.

I prefer tying directly. I tie a variation of the uni knot that I made but a loop knot will also work. It give's max movement to the lure. I will use TA clips when I'm offshore because it doesn't seem to make much of a difference but when I'm inshore I try to eliminate anything terminal. I retie my knots often anyways so having the clips aren't much help to me
