Windy morning. Stood at the ramp this morning wondering if I should go. Mike came all the way from baker to fish pomp and sheep with me so I couldn't say no.
The seas out side the pass were just as I envisioned, sloppy and ugly. On top of that, the current was running super hard.
We buried our anchor up current from the jetties and held on tight.
After we figured out how to keep our baits from water skiing we managed to land a few nice fish.
Fiddlers as always with anvils for weights.

Wow! We’ll done! Did you anchor North of the jetties?
I anchored east of the jetties, up current. Was using 3 ounces of slip sinker and a yellowtail hook cast up current. Let it drag the bottom and the pomps were picking it up on the sand.
Cast the same rig over the rocks and let the current suspend it just over the rocks. A little jigging made the bait more visible to sheep.
Took a little head scratching to come up with ways to present a fiddler. Thank God my buddy Mike is a fishing genius.
