One night in January 2010



A few days later...



A few days of aging and a stop at the meat dept......



Coupla hours later....



Coupla hours after that......



Ended a little while later when he went to freezerland........

THE END...........for now.......he'll be posted in some pix soon, on the BGE.......



Shot the buck during the primitive weapons season here in LA......A NEF 444 with Leverevolution ammo....DRT....... Let him age a few days in an icechest of fresh water and ice...changed daily......Deboned him and ended up with 55#s+ of meat, not counting backstraps, tenderloins and a coupla small roasts......went to the meat dept at the local grocery store and got a coupla boston butts(26#s).....Took 28#s of deboned meat and mixed it with the bb.......ended up with 32 1 1/2#-2# packs of ground meat...took 6#s and mixed with some bacon, for bacon burgers.......Took the other 25#s+ to the local meat market to get mixed 50-50 with pork, seasonedand made into smoked link sausage....Pix on the BGE to follow in a few days....

Jamielu said she didn't mind helpin do the vacuum packin....cuz she likes to eat it too....
