A bit of info. Looking at the FWC Sunshine Bass stocking report for 2022 I notice they dumped over 160,000 fingerlings in Escambia River. We got 3300 here in our little lake in the middle of town. Interesting. I don't recall seeing anything about the stocking. I believe Sunshine Bass are a hybrid cross between white bass and a striped bass. They don't reproduce.

I'd heard this as well, but caught two last week in the Hooch, a male and a female, that were very obviously fertile and gravid respectively. I wonder how far along the spectrum of hybridization towards pure striper they have to get to become reproductively active

Pretty confident they were hybrids. If I'm wrong, please let me know!
