Nice current from the east and 2-5 knot east breeze.

We went to the bottom of the hugh swingle area and hit a few public and private stops. Water was green with 10 ? 20 feet of vis. Tried the bigger structures in hopes of AJs but only managed one small keeper. Kept one small gag as well. The story for the day was pretty much ?red piranha?.We probably released 50+ snapper, 5 or 6 went 12+ and the biggest was 181/2.

Didn?t put much in the box but still had fantastic day. "Foruno porn channel" That is funny stuff. It is amazing how you can go and catch as many fish as you did and just have a couple of fish to show for it. At least the porpoise haven't been as thick lately and the snapper have a chance to make it back down.Nice report and pics.

Thanks for the report. The water is so flat, it looks like you guys were fishing on a small lake, not the Gulf. Glad you could get out and take advantage.

It didn't really dawn on me yesterday but we didn't see any porpoises all day so hopefully most of the releases are just recovering from a tooth ache.

One of the biggest snappers we caught got released and we forgot to vent him. We were on anchor and he drifted away belly up. After a few minutes he clearly didn't go down but was still doing the backstroke a quarter mile away, it was bugging us too. We finally decided to pull anchor and go pop him. He (or likely she) was still kicking when we pop her and swam away strongly. For our good efforts wewere rewarded with a new bottom spotwe found right there. I think the fish gods were happy!
