I sure wish Snapper season wasn't coming to an end soon! Today I was joined by Jesse and his family, Shanda, Jesse Jr., and Mark joined me for a 6 hour trip. We left Galvez at 0630 and headed towards the Gulf. After picking up bait from the Bait man we set a course out to the east to a little area that holds some good fish.

First drop we catch a Scamp and a Snapper, I get the feeling quickly that this is gonna be one of those great trips!! About that minute I hear a large rumble to the South and see the makings of a large Storm. We continued fishing for another hour or so and put a few fish in the cooler, but the ever present storm to the South really had my attention. Around 10 am the storm made it's move and starting heading North and was steady dropping lightning. We quickly turned the boat towards the Pass and dodged high winds and rain all the way back to the ramp. We may not of got our limit today but we made it out to catch some fish and made it back safely.

................... See you out there
