Anyone ever use these for reds/specks or whatever the heck else will hit them. I'm talking about the ones I've always used for bass fishing, like the slug-go or bass assassin. Just rig it with the hook, weedless style. Just curious...I guess I've seen the ones that are designed more after the mullet, it just seems like I always use a jig head with soft plastics for saltwater and I don't know why I've never tried this.

I started using plastics this year. I rig them (3) ways generally, either using just a circle hook and hook them thru the nose, with a flutter hook rigged weedless, or on a jighead if the water is deeper than 4'. Gulp jerk shads and shrimp have proved themselves over and over to catch fish consistently. Hope this helps..

I use Bass Assassins all the time. Do great on trout, reds and even tarpon.Gold flecked Black, and the grey/offwhite ones rigged weedless.
