Can someone please shed some light for me on where to target snowies at? I am somewhat limited to my range, maybe 20-25 miles from P'cola Pass.... Just not sure what bait to use, or where to find them at? Please help, or pm me with some help, thanks.

You won't start seeing snowies on structure until you get to about 500 feet of water. I've read about people catching them in well over 1000 feet of water. Unfortunately, you probably won't have the range to get to water that deep with a 20-25 mile range. Regarding bait, they aren't super picky. Use cut bait or squid..whatever you can find. They'll hit jigs on the bottom as well.

hit man (3/4/2010)what kind of bottom relief does it take to hold fish in that depth? 10-15 ft or do you have to have a large rock pile or structure?
Us being newbie's at this deep dropping game, I can only tell you what works for us withour limited knowledge ofdeep dropping. It does not take alot of relief, 4 feet or more will do it. If you mark an area and slowly ride around it ,and found that it is a plateau you have found the holy grail of locations. We have found some of these in 450 feet. At that depth you have a good chance to catch snowies, yellowedge and a few others. Plus if you find one there is always more around it. Good luck. Gene

Was not directed toward hitman at all. I have revised my quote above on the org comment to hitman's question. Gene
