I have a pair of ankle zipper neoprene boots for kayaking. Don't know if they are 3 mil or 5 mil thickness. They are stinking and do not want put them into some kind of solution and have them fall apart. What does everyone do to clean the smell out of them? My reefrunner shoes I use in the summer smell also and seem to be made of some of the same kind of materials. Thanks for the answers.

There is a company called McNett that makes a neoprene cleaner and a odor eliminator that you can get at many dive shops. One bottle lasts a long time and does work.

Hoping for a simple off the shelf grocery store cleaner, pour in a bucket add water and presto, cleano no more smelly shoes. I can't be the only one that gets them smelling walking in the water or a little mud, etc.

Baking soda, as cheap as you can find it. Let them air dry first then drop in a couple spoon fulls. Hold the top shut with your hand and shake em so the powder gets everywhere (inside the boots). You can also dust the outsides, then put them in the washing machine for the shortest cycle possible.

AOK on that. Sounds like a winner. I knew there is the simple and easy method to this. Will try it soon.
