My neighbor told me the shrimp should start moving & be easier to catch in front of the grass flats & sand beaches after the cold front moves thru:thumbup:

He told me he just looks for them popping across the surface near the sand bars & cast nets them;)

I dip netted them from a pier at night down around the Cape when I was a kid but never tried cast netting them. I do bycatch a few when going for other bait near the grass flats.

Anyone got the hot tips for getting a bucket full? :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:

As soon I can figure out why the running lights on my boat aren't working I have a few spots i want to try out. A friend who has casted for shrimp for years has given me a few spots. He hasn't done anything this year yet but it is about the right time.
