You didn't ask for opinions, but I'm a member and it's worth every dime. I would not go out without it. If you can't afford it you can't afford to be out there.

You can join on the phone or online. It does make sense to wait until you are about to make a trip, but remember the trailer coverage ($10) covers trailer problems on the road on the way down.

Had to call sea tow last year when my power pak went out. Would have cost me over $500 for a few miles so deff. worth it. The trailer part is another story. Had a wheel bearing go out at the gas station across from Outcast about 3 years ago. Called sea tow because I had it. They told me on the phone that they would charge me so I told them to forget about it.

SeaTow or BoatUS definitely worth it. Had to be towed in from 13 miles out of PNS pass 4 years ago and the annual membershipdues will not catch upwith what that would have cost, had I not been a member, for another 2 years.

A buddy of mine, doin' half a "Great Loop", broke down coming out of Little Sabine, in a high north wind, 3 footers in P-bay, the sound was not any better. He did not have Sea Tow or Boat US. He called me for help. There was no way I was going to try toresuce him in high seas. I called both to get the rates, I made special deal for him with one, only because.

The special deal cost him $600.00 from the mouth of Little Sabine in the ICWto Bayou Chico, Pelicans Perch f.k.a ( formally known as) Brown's.

Spend themoney, and buy which ever onefits your boating circle, both are awesome.

Do not think about, DO IT !!! PERIOD !!!

Do not leave the dock without it, unless, you are single, have NO loved ones and have a death wish.

Don't even think of going into the Gulf without it. I have been on the end of the tow rope twice. Both turned out to be relatively simple problems to fix once I got on land and had the tools, but not something to do late in the afternoon with seas building. I can have it for another 10 years and still be ahead.

sooner (1/24/2010)sea tow charged me $600 to tow me from dixie bar to the dock at ft morgan one mile i am not a member but i should have at least got a kiss
Kisses are extra. :poke We purchased a SeaTow package from Emerald Coast Marine on a Friday, immediately after bringing the new (used, but new to us)Ms. Dixie home, and used SeaTow the following Sunday night due to "dead batteries" :banghead. But SeaTow to the rescue, and no hassle to the friends and neighbors.
