Three of us (Ricky, Lynn and Brent Boy) left out of Shoreline about 6:30 am under cloudy and breezy conditions. The pass was rough, the waves breaking off the shoal almost made us turn back, but we pressed on. Stayed closer in than normal due to the 4 to 5 ft swells we were fishing in. Our goal was to catch 3 species to weigh in for the GBO Tourney. We ended up with our limit of 3 AJ's, 2 mingos, a king mackerel. We caught our AJ's first. Lynn caught the largest of the day at 24.75 lbs. Ricky had one that broke him off, breaking the swivel in half! Lynn lost anotherone in the wreck, too. Then we tried for triggers. We must have caught 25, none big enough, all between 12-13 3/4 inches! But gota couple ofnice mingos in the process. Had one mingo or trigger on but something slammed it on the way up, almost pulling Lynn overboard! Another line came up sliced, looked liked it had been cut. So we decided to troll for a King. We trolled for several minutes, waves rolling in and out, Lynn said, "I think it might be too rough to troll...." and as the the last word came out of her mouth. the line sung!Gave the poll over to Brent, & he brought in a nice King, all three hooks sunk in. 3 species on board and called it a day! Headed back to Shoreline, weighed in our fish. Ended up w/ 3 first places and Brent got JR Offshore Angler.

I will try to post some pics tonight.
