We headed out to Langdon Beach at Ft Pickens early Saturday morning to try for some Pompano. We had our poles in the water at 0700. We brought fresh dead shrimp, live shrimp, cut mullet, and a sand flea rake. In the 4 or so hours we were there we raked about 2 dozen fleas. We had no bites the whole time and did not see anyone else catching anything. There was 1 bull red caught by the guy next to us. Good day to get some sun though. We headed to the Fort Pickens pier around 11 to see how the sheepshead action was. Of course the pier was packed so we fish from shore towards the old pier. We hooked up on a couple big sheepshead but could not land any. The closest we got was getting a fish within arms length and having it spit the hook and weight directly at me.
