Mike and I hit crooked island. The inlet kind of sucked. We got 1 whiting, 1 pomp and 4 black uglies there.
The best fishing was the west peninsula, where it is washed away. We played with 6 or 8 reds, two of which ended up in the box, 1 black drum, 6 specks, 4 sand trout, which were huge and a Spanish.
Had better days but I've had worse. The sand trout were the biggest ive caught which made my day.
The black drum on the inlet were caught on fiddlers on ball jigs. ALL the other fish were caught on silly Willie's or bucanneer wiggler jigs with flys. Orange was the hot color, jig and fly.
Weather was fine after 9am, sucked before that. The water was also really dirty and sandy. I was honestly surprised the fish bite was good right after the typhoon that swept through here yesterday.

Great haul. Those are some fine white trout.
