25gal saltwater tank with 7 pieces of live rock, frog spawn, anonomies, mushrooms, 1 snapping shrimp, watchmen, hermits and 2 cleaner shrimp. The tank has been established for about 1 year. The tank comes with a stand, two timers,a coral life light fixture with 2 65watt bulbs, heater, and the filter is a Penguin 200 with a biowheel. Getting ready to move to a bigger tank. No pics yet but I will have them soon. $250.00. Any reasonable offers?

That's a pretty tank. I've been telling my wife I want to get one, but I can't help ya here. It's hard for me to get my wife to feed the dog when I'm not home. I sure dont want her to have to take care of a saltwater when I'm not home. Freshwater tanks, although definitely not as pretty, are cheaper and a little more resilient. good luck though.

take care. kenny

FLWhaler (12/21/2007) Is a smaller tank like this easier to maintaine than a larger one.
To me no. My last tank was a 125gal and now a I am running a 55gal. The bigger tank was a lot easier to keep balanced, Such as keeping up with water evaporation. No sump on the smaller one. Only good thing I can think of about the smaller one is there is less water to take out when doing a water change.

When I first got the tank, I felt like I was constantly testing the water, and making a lot of changes but that's what's nice about getting an established tank. The only things I do now is clean the glass every 1-2 days which takes less than 5 min.. Once a week, I take the filters out and clean them in the sink which takes about 5 min. I'll add some I/O water whenever I see the level go down and that's about it.

I had to make a deal with the wife so I guess the recliner has to go if I'm getting a bigger tank. She wants $150 so the package would go for $350. I'll throw a wife in for free if anyone wants to make a deal. The recliner is in the pictures with the fish tank. Thanks.:banghead
