Rimfire primer is built into the outter rim of the bullet. Like a .22. If you take a look at a .22, you won't see the primer. After shooting the shell, the firing pin strikes the rim of the bullet to ignite. Center-fire has a primer in the middle of the case where the firing pin strikes. You can also reload most centerfire cases. You cannot reload a rimfire. Hope this helps.
