This may be a stupid question, but when respooling a baitcaster reel, ( calcutta 200B ), how much tension do you apply while adding line? Been having a problem with backlashes, might just be me. Also, someone mentioned the setting of the gears, brakes. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks

You don't need to put that much tension on when spooling and when you set the brake I always tie a lure on and release it, the lure should slowly fall to the ground that should get you started. When you cast the lure put your thumb on the spool to stop it from spinning right beforte the line reaches the water it takes some practice but you should get it after a while.
