Anyone have a recommendation on where to have an old Stetson cowboy hat worked on? Cleaned, reshaped, maybe a little stretch, maybe replace the band?

I would be very interested in the replies as either my heads shrunk or my Stetson has stretched, slightest wind and it wants to take off!
Can't remember if the Boot Barn on Pine Forest does it or not. Used to take my umpiring caps to a place that is now closed (I know that doesn't help...) any cowboy attire store that sells high end hats should be able to do it. Call one of the cowboy places and see who they recommend.

Cavenders near Bass Pro shop has “The hat Dr“ Gary he does all mine and he made my straw Resistol look new after it got stomped by a few of my cows. He cleaned it, steamed it up, reshaped it and made it good as new. he also takes care of all my dress hats. I usually throw him a $20 tip and he makes my old hat new again. Go see him he can make it look new again…

Yeah, thought about Cavenders, it was the only place in recent memory I can recall seeing a hat working setup in. Is this something they did while you wait or you have to drop it off? Was hoping to find someone local here in Pcola, but looks like that isn't happening. Also looking at some of the online options, but the ones that look to be good are 4-6 months wait time to get your hat back.

He will rework your hat while you wait. Actually do it right in front of you as to check fitment… he is pretty quick and works on tips…
I have been looking for someone as well. I bought a stetson from an old guy, hat is from the late 1950's, bought new by his uncle who only wore it a couple of times then got killed. Hat has been in the box in his closet until he decided to sell it since he is down sizing to move and it doesn't fit him. Hat has name of store where it was sold on the inside band. Indian trading store in Yellowstone, Montana.

Thanks for the info fellas.
Just got back from Cavenders, great experience, got my 26yr old hat back to looking and fitting perfect, while I was there, picked up a couple of extra "working in the yard/fishing/ camping cowboy hats for the wife and I, we'll worth the trip, thanks for the advice pff'ers
