There was a restaraunt in Milton that used to advertise Redfish on their menu......I always thought it was odd.

Smokey J's in milton sells redfish whole as well, an employee told me they are farm raised from Louisiana. I was in Gainesville about 1.5 years ago and ate at a restaurant that served farm raised redfish.

Louisiana Lagniappe in Destin usually has a blackened Redfish entree. They have had it for a couple of years now, it is very good.

So does this mean I can go dig a big ass hole in my back yard, put a reef in it, fill it with water and raise my own grouper, amberjack, and red snapper, theoretically speaking?

I think you should raise your own tilapia! I was at a restraunt in lauderdale recently, and tilapia was only $2 cheaper than mahi!!

HAHA!! He said "big asshole!!"

Is this a new thing? I haven't been there in a while, but don't ever remember seeing them

Its not that new. I have been in there regularly throughout the fall and winter and they pretty much always have them
