Smokey J's in milton sells redfish whole as well, an employee told me they are farm raised from Louisiana. I was in Gainesville about 1.5 years ago and ate at a restaurant that served farm raised redfish.

choppedliver (3/2/2010)So does this mean I can go dig a big ass hole in my back yard, put a reef in it, fill it with water and raise my own grouper, amberjack, and red snapper, theoretically speaking?

Just don't get it.
I think you should raise your own tilapia! I was at a restraunt in lauderdale recently, and tilapia was only $2 cheaper than mahi!!

HAHA!! He said "big asshole!!"
