Just got a report that they are starting to catch a few bull reds around the jetties and Destin bridge now....so I am thinking things are getting better.
We actually fished there at the jetties and Destin bridge today - nobody caught anything, not even the3 or4 otherboats near us (this was from noon til about 2:30pm). No bite, no nibbles. The Red Tide still has the water discolored, but it's not near as bad as it was.
Oh, and we didn't seeany floating dead fish anywheretoday... from 2 miles outside of the Pass all the way to Eglin - 0.
Red Tide is killing with a vengeance in Garniers Bayou. Dead fish are floating all over and washing up on shore. I cleaned up my little beach on Wednesday and Thursday morning it was again covered with dead fish. If you have a chance, look at the photos for the online Northwest Florida Daily News. I posted one of the dead fish on my beach.
