I have been closely watching the movement of the Red Tide ever since fishing in Panama City and Port St. Joe last week-end. This week-end the wind is supposed to shift out of the East and I am wondering if anyone has seen reports on the potential for it to hit Pensacola. The attached map is where I found the Red Tide last week-end.

The most recent report from FWC is this: "In Northwest Florida over the past week, K. brevis was observed at very low concentrations in Santa Rosa County, very low concentrations in Okaloosa County, very low concentrations in Walton County, background to medium concentrations in or offshore of Bay County, background concentrations in Gulf County, background concentrations in Franklin County, and very low concentrations in Pasco County."

I live near the Bay/Walton line and the red tide wasn't bad at all. I saw 2-3 dead fish in about a mile walk on Saturday. I couldn't smell anything either. Hopefully it is playing out.
