I HAVE A BUDDY LOOKING INTO A 34 SILVERTON SPORTFISH...THE BOAT WEIGHT IS AT OR JUST UNDER 12,500 LBS. IT'S POWERED WITH TWIN VOLVO TAMD-41A 's ...MY FIRST QUESTION IS WHAT'S THE MAX RPM THESE MOTORS SHOULD BE TURNING AND CRUISE RPM AND WHAT KIND'A SPEED SHOULD IT BE GETTING. I'VE DONE A LITTLE RESEARCH AND FOUND 3800 MAX AND CRUISE AROUND 3500.........NOT SURE IF THIS IS CORRECT. AND IF ANYONE HAS ANY GENERAL INPUT ON THESE MOTORS.....I'D APPRECIATE IT....

not sure on your cruise for those engines but the max rpm sounds correct. i do know the make 200hp. i had a pair tamd40b a while back which volvo replaced with the tamd41 mine made 165hp. the downfall to both these engines is the cooling system, be sure to keep good maint. on them change anodes, clean heatexchanger etc. also parts for those are very expensive and hard to find. goodluck with ever you decide.
