Preparing stand for next year

The land owners where I hunt are going to be doing some major logging this year. Some areas will be clear cut, others thinned. I'm building a mobile deer stand, just the right thing for a large clear cut area. It's built on an old boat trailer frame http://www.pensacolafishingforum.com/f50/boat-trailer-20-boat-482546/
The box part of the stand is around 4x6', and will be around 10' from the ground to the floor. It can be pulled down the road, then tipped up wherever you want the stand to be. I'll add photos of the more finished product.

Great Idea...I got to build one like it now...thanks.....
It's attached to the trailer permanently correct? As long as you have level land, it'll be good to go. How are you going to "pop" it up??? Another truck/4 wheeler???
As long as you paint it camo, it's a win

I'll use a tractor or truck to tip it up. Taking it down will require a truck/tractor to keep it from coming down too fast, a 4 wheeler can do the pulling. Hopefully it will stay at one place for a few seasons.

Here is a youtube way to do it.
Looks tippy! :D
Great idea! ******* engineering at its finest. Practical and functional.
Ideal - I remember when I was in the club in LaFloresta we were banned from planting plots or feeding of any kind in the clearcuts... we had to clear out for about 5 years until the newly planted pines had a chance to get high enough so that the deer didn't eat the tops - Man I hated that rule, something like you have there would have been deadly!!
Great idea. Here's another while you're building; wrap the whole thing in dog fence (loosely) so you can yam a bunch of pine limbs in there for camoflage. Break up the straight edge look of it. Make it disappear like a ghillie suit.

update!

The stand is 90% complete. Time to see if it will stand up. Ropes in place, truck as the "anchor" and the excavator doing the pulling. It went flawlessly up and down. I'm going to add a couple of diagonal braces to stiffen it some more. I plan to mill out some sliding widows, and paint everything.
