Just wondering if anyone has any luck predator hunting around here? Specifically rifle hunting for coyotes and bobcats. If so, do you go alone? Mainly private land or is there any public land opportunities?

Private land here, no problem calling them, actually hitting them has escaped me. One coyote 1 me 0. Bobcat 1 me 0.

I set up a new rifle, AR and I be dang if I seem to choke shooting it. Good thing I missed last time out, it was a Bobcat and if I read the regulations correct (after the miss) they are out of season.

I shoot my bolt action deer rifle so much better.

Same here, private property, coyotes. I use my AT&T Rifle, .17 cal., it'll reach out and touch them. LOL

I have always used a bolt action rifle and was proud of my ability to kill deer with one shot. When I shoot the AR I just can't get my grip right and I seem to rush the shot when shooting at an animal. I'm okay with targets, but choke on yotes.
