It sure don't take long for the scavengers to crawl out from under their rocks to take advantage of the situation. I had either some unfortunate persons boat or a derelict hull sunk and banging against my dock in the wind and waves. Anyway I put a line on it and dragged it away from my dock to prevent more damage to it. While I was doing this several groups of people who don't live around here showed up throughout the morning to look around, real quick looks and they were gone. Nobody offered to help or even speak to me. After Ivan every boat that washed up on the lot next door was completely stripped. I had to run some off that were starting on a sailboat that was in my yard. I figured that these are some of the same slime of the earth folks out to take advantage of someone's misfortune.
