I thinking of making a quick trip to fish the Navarre-Pensavola-Pickens area on the 14th and 15th Current forecast is for light winds on the 13th, 12-14kt (14-16 mph) winds from the east-southeast on the 14th and 15th and 2-3 ft waves. If these conditions actually bear out, do you think I would be able to successfully surf fish or pomps or would I need to stick to the piers? Would the surf be too rough? I am currently on vacation in Hobe Sound FL and have done well on the pomps over the past week(mainly 11-14" size). Since we are supposed to have 5 ft waves here for the next 5 days, I was going to cut my vacation short here and try the Gulf Coast. I have never fished there.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If the seas end up being 2-3ft there should be good fishing. If it gets rougher and the water gets dirty the hardheads will make an appearance.
