I see markers at the 3 mile bridge that indicate that a boom will be placed there. Are the bridges our first line of defense (except for the booms along parts of the shore)? Will the booms on the bridges be manned by skimmers? Will any attempt be made to contain some oil at the pass?
I am surprised that we are not hearing about the overall plan. Hopefully, I have missed something and someone can update me.
The people in Louisiana were ill-prepared(and still are). Here is a link to a video of a Louisiana marsh. This is the tip of the iceberg. We have time to prepare. It will be a fight to keep the oil out of here. Hopefully, we can do it!
Don't know if this answers all your questions but the map you click on under the DEP Booming Strategy shows the plan as it is now. This link is for SR County but has information for the pass as well as further west.
