Deer are curious. I've seen does come up and lick the blood on the ground where another deer was standing seconds before being arrowed. I also used to rifle hunt clear cuts and usually dropped the guts where I shot them. With that said, I've killed several deer standing over gut piles of deer killed only a few hours before, but never thought about trying it in the woods. Thanks for the wake up call...:bowdown
