I am planning a trip to Palm Beach (to see the in-laws) either July 4th or Labor day weekend, I have not decided yet. I figured while I'm there I might as well get in a little fishing trip. So I need some advise, firstdoes anyone know what is biting best the first week of July vs.Labor day, second does anybody know of a good charter to recommend.

Thanks

You will find some great boats and captains at Sailfish Marina. Cool place to fish out of and right on the inlet so you are usually fishing 15 minutes after leaving the dock.

Winter is when they'd want to kitefish for sailfish. In July I imagine they will offer to live bait for dolphin and king mackeral or bottom fish for snapper and grouper. They will still kite fish in July. It's fun regardless of what you are catching. But most charters will ask you to pay for goggle-eyes, if you want them. They are great baits, but expensive. My last charter there was on ANEJO, a beautiful 1969 45' Rybovich. Nice captain.
